Former National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan popularly known as Wofa Yaw, who lost to the incumbent Kofi Adams, has linked the roles in politics to that of a church arguing that there are pastors, choristers, ushers, prayer warriors, playing different but important roles to grow the church.
But, to him, in a situation where prayer warriors and choristers start mounting the pulpit, then there’s a high risk that the congregation can be misled.
He was speaking in an exclusive interview with this reporter.
He further demonstrated that politics is about experience on the football pitch hence Coaches wouldn’t even bother to replace players with substitutes from the bench.
Wofa Yaw Boateng Gyan who is staging a comeback to wrestle his enviable position from Kofi Adams, in the upcoming NDC National Delegates Congress, has revealed that the grassroots and top gurus of the NDC are relying on his experience to win back power from the ruling NPP.
“To succeed in any field of work, it takes a great deal of experience; I have done this work for a very long time and I know what it takes to win elections in Ghana. We did it in 2008 and 2012 and if given the chance again, we will do it in 2020 when Ghanaians vote,” he emphasized.
