Everton manager, Marco Silva has explained why Liverpool defeated his side 1-0 in Sunday’s Premier League encounter.
Divock Origi’s late strike ensured victory for Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield.
Silva, whose team last won at Anfield in 1999, said the Reds defeated Everton because it was a lucky day for Liverpool, adding that they didn’t deserve to win.
He, however, played down the significance of Klopp’s celebrations.
“It was a lucky day for Liverpool because they didn’t deserve to win,’’ Silva was quoted by NAN as saying at after the match.
“In the second half we started to control the match on the field and we didn’t deserve this result, it should have been a draw.
“I didn’t see Klopp run on the pitch, if he did run on the pitch in the moment, I wouldn’t see it as disrespectful.’’
Silva’s men will now clash with Newcastle United at home in their next Premier League fixture on Wednesday night.
