It seems Kwaw Kese can’t get over the embarrassing incident that happened to him over the weekend at the second edition of Shatta Wale’s reign concert.
Shatta Wale launched his ‘Wonder Album’ with a concert held at the Fantasy Dome in Accra over the weekend and some colleague artistes passed through to support him.
However, Kwaw Kese who is purported to be an ‘arch-rival’ of Shatta Wale showed up to perform during the event but he was ‘assaulted’ by some SM fans whiles he was performing.
SM fans threw bottles at the ‘Dondo’ hitmaker during his performance over his feud with Shatta Wale as they(fans) were not pleased to see him at the event.
Kwaw Kese in an interview on Okay FM claimed that he was not intimidated by the shambolic act exhibited by the SM fans.
According to him, Shatta Wale should have announced to the crowd that he was the surprise guest prior to his performance.
“I was surprised when the fans started throwing bottles at me because I was invited one straight month ahead of the Concert as a Guest Artiste and that was why Shatta Wale didn’t put out my name, I was a surprise act. I think on the night of the concert, Shatta Wale should have let the crowd knew that he has invited some of his friends as Surprise/Guest Artistes. I was shocked the fans threw bottles at me, though” Kwaw Kese said in an interview on Okay FM monitored by GhanaMotion.
He also revealed that the management of Shatta Wale wanted him to be on the Reign Concert due to the popularity of his ‘Dondo’ song and contacted his team a month before the main event.
“I didn’t want to perform. I didn’t even want to go to the show. For like one month, the management of Shatta Wale were talking to my people. Dondo is currently the biggest song in Ghana. So if you are organising a show and you don’t have ‘dondo’ performance on it, then the show is a flop. So they wanted ‘Dondo’ to be there. They needed that performance on the Reign concert” Kwaw Kese stressed.
