Seikwa Area Council holds clean up campaign

In the quest of enhancing sanitation, Seikwa Area Council in collaboration with Seikwa Traditional Council has organised a clean up exercise to rid of filth in the area.

The exercise led by the Area Council chairman, Mr. Agyei Stephen and the traditional authorities has to do with cleaning up the Seikwa Friday market and the principal streets of the town.

The clean up exercise attracted a number of people who participated in distilling of gutters at the market which has been chocked for the past three years, weeding and sweeping of the market.

Mr Agyei Stephen advised the citizenry not to indiscriminately dump refuse and urged to be regular participants in such exercise to tidy up their environment.

“The Clean up exercise will be intensified this year and everyone should play a part in order to keep our environment in safe, clean and healthy state,” he added.

He also thanked Nananom of Seikwa Traditional council and the DIstrict Chief Executive and the entire citizenry for their support and participation towards ensuring a successful exercise.
