Prime Minister Boris Johnson To Present Brexit Bill To MPs On Friday

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government intends to present a bill to parliament on Friday to enable Britain to leave the European Union next month, his spokesman said.

“We plan to start the process before Christmas and will do so in the proper constitutional way in discussion with the speaker (of the House of Commons),” Johnson’s spokesman told reporters on Monday.

Johnson’s spokesman said parliament’s intelligence and security committee (ISC) report had been cleared by the PM, but would not be published until the new incarnation of the committee was assembled to formally approve this.

Under the Brexit plans, the withdrawal agreement bill, which sets out the legal framework for the deal, will be submitted to MPs on Friday.
