Philippe Coutinho speaks out after joining Bayern Munich on loan from Barcelona

Philippe Coutinho has spoken out about relishing his “new challenge” after joining Bayern Munich on loan from Barcelona.

The former Liverpool playmaker has completed a season-long loan switch to Germany.

Bayern said in a statement that all parties “agreed not to disclose any financial details of the agreement”.

But Barcelona have confirmed the German giants will pay Coutinho’s wages for the season, will hand over an €8.5million loan fee and have an option to make the move permanent next summer for €120m euros (around £110million).

Speaking about his move, the Brazilian star says he has “big ambitions” for what can be achieved.
