Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud has disclosed that he is ready to leave the Stamford Bridge this summer due to his lack of playing time under manager, Maurizio Sarri.
The 32-year-old said he is not afraid to take a step down in order to play a more important role at another club.
Giroud has fallen down the pecking order in Sarri’s squad this campaign since the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.
Speaking on his lack of playing time under Sarri, Giroud told RTL, “Of course it’s frustrating.
“Today, I have the impression that there is clearly no competition with Higuain since January.
“It’s like that, I know I’m only going to play in the Europa League and I try to do what it takes to be as effective and important as possible for the team.”
