Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed his plans for the squad that will travel for the Asia tour, and also said that facing the likes of Leeds United and Perth Glory is good preparation for the season.
Solskjaer will be taking his team to play against a number of teams during the pre-season tour in preparation for the new campaign, but it is still not clear whether Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku will be joining them.
The Norwegian did not elaborate on that, and instead said that the entire first team would be available to travel, with most of them not involved in any international tournaments that have been taking place.

“Summer has been kind to us in that respect – so we’ll travel to Perth with the full first team squad,” Solskjaer said via the club’s Facebook page. “Everyone should be available to be picked – hopefully they’re fit when they come back – so the first team is going to be there.”
In less than three weeks, United will face Perth Glory in their first pre-season game and Solskjaer said it would be an opportunity to compare the competitiveness of both leagues. He was also looking forward to facing arch rivals Leeds United during pre-season.
“To play against (A-League premiers) Perth Glory is always a good reference point on how the leagues compare,” Solskjaer said. “Games against Leeds United have always been huge for us. I’ve played in quite a few – both on-and-off the pitch there is some rivalry.”
