Memphis Depay pictured helping deaf school children in Ghana

Former Manchester United star Memphis Depay has been pictured in Ghana carrying out charity work.

According to reports in Africa, Depay is supporting a local deaf-mute school as part of a second charity project in the country.

The Lyon winger, who left United in January 2017, was born to a Ghanaian father though his parents divorced when he was young. When he arrived at United, the player didn’t want to be known by the name ‘Depay’, his father’s name.

The country clearly retains a special place in his affections, however, with Depay spotted in Cape Coast in Ghana dressed in the uniform of the deaf-mute school and pictured smiling with some local children.
