Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has hailed his side’s resilience, after they thumped Chelsea 6-0 on Sunday.
Sergio Aguero netted a hat-trick, while Raheem Sterling scored two goals, as the champions ran riot at the Etihad.
The victory means City have now won three matches in seven days, said:
“Incredible week, incredible game.
“We are lucky to score three from the first four actions. After 3-0 they were much better than us and after 5-0 it was not easy for them.
“Chelsea take the ball, play incredible, so that’s why I am very pleased after we played Arsenal, Everton and had a few days to recover.
“To score six against Chelsea and the way we played, we had so much attention. We did it, it’s an incredible compliment to the players, they are outstanding,” Guardiola told Sky Sports after the game.
City have returned to the top of the table, but title rivals Liverpool have a game in hand on the defending champions.
