Ghanian government set to impose tax on Anointing oil and church stickers

The Ghanian government has started making plans to impose taxes on anointing oil ,stickers and other items sold by churches ,this was revealed by the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Emmanuel Kofi Nti.

According to reports the move,has been backed also by the President Nana Akufo-Addo, is backed by how churches have moved from providing charity to accumulating wealth.

Kofi Nti said:

The man of God; is he not an individual? And is he not accountable to the state for his tax obligations? There is an opportunity for us to look at it.

He was said to have fingered specifically Bishop Daniel Obinim, a popular pastor in the country, saying of his stickers: “it is income to him.”
