Cristiano Ronaldo is back in Manchester and the Portuguese took centre stage on Monday night as he held a press conference at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old was quizzed on a number of issues by members of the world’s media, with questions about his start to life at Juventus, his return to Old Trafford and his personal life dominating the presser.
One soundbite United fans will have been delighted to hear was Ronaldo’s message to Sir Alex Ferguson, one of the most important figures in his football career.
“I can remember what it was like when I was at Manchester,” Ronaldo said. “I won lots of trophies here. I remember the support as well, the support was fantastic. Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I would like to express my best possible wishes to him.”
Ronaldo further endeared himself to the United faithful later on in the evening as he tweeted to say how happy he is to be back.
