Courtois names world’s top-three goalkeepers, snubs David de Gea


Thibaut Courtois is widely considered to be one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet – so he should have a pretty good idea who are the best stoppers in the world.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper secured a transfer to European champions Real Madrid this summer, but modestly left himself off his list of the top-three glovesman.

However, he also sensationally left Manchester United’s David de Gea out, while he also snubbed the man who replaced him at Stamford Bridge for a club-record fee: Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Liverpool’s mega-money summer signing Alisson Becker has made the cut, though, joining Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Barcelona No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen in Courtois’ elite list.
