Boxing: Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe comes up against Mexican Magdaleno in April

Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe will travel to Maryland, USA, on April 28th to face Mexico’s Jessie Magdaleno on April 28th, 2018.

At stake is Magdaleno’s WBO World super bantamweight title, though Dogboe holds the interim title.

The Ghanaian ex Olympian got a shot at Magdaleno’s belt after stopping Cesar Juarez in round 5 last month to win the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt.

Magdaleno won the WBO strap when he dethroned Nonito Donaire in November 2016.

He made his first defense of his belt after stopping Adeilson Dos Santos in four rounds in April 2017.

Magdaleno’s fight against Dogboe will be his second defense of his belt.

Dogboe said he is going all out as a Warrior and very sure of bringing the title home. He said the battle is for the Lord Almighty and he is the whole nation is behind him to win.

He thanked all the chiefs, companies, people and team who are supporting him. The Press Conference was held at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
