Anthony Martial gives Manchester United fans a heart attack after tweet

Manchester United fans suffered a mini-heart attack on Friday afternoon following a tweet by French forward Anthony Martial.

Martial has had his struggles at Old Trafford since leaving Monaco for the Premier League.

He initially impressed under Louis Van Gaal after his £36m move from Ligue 1.

Though, he found life much more difficult under Jose Mourinho.

Martial and Mourinho reportedly fell out during their time together, with suggestions the Man United boss wanted to sell him.

That lead to his time on the pitch being cut and Martial struggled to get into the team regularly.

That all changed when Ole Gunnar Solskjær took over as caretaker boss.

Martial is now a key player in this Man United side again and recently signed a new deal keeping him at the club until 2024.

However, that didn’t stop Manchester United fans suffering a mini heart attack after seeing his latest tweet.

The misleading post gives Man United fans a scare

Martial, albeit innocently, had some fans thinking for a second that he could be leaving.

It was announced this week that Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev had been sacked by the club.

Club president Dmitry Rybolovlev claimed, as quoted by Sky Sports, the reasoning behind it was that “important mistakes were made last year, which led to the worst sports results the club has had in seven years.

Those ‘important mistakes’ have seen Monaco fighting a relegation battle this season and under real threat of going down.

After his sacking, Martial took to social media to personally thank Vadim for ‘A big step in my career’.

Though, the picture he chose was one of him and Vadim holding up a Monaco kit with the year 2019 on the back.

Before translating the tweet, Man United fans were given a heart attack by thinking for whatever reason he’d resigned for the French club!
