A man decided to show up at his son’s school with a machine gun after the boy was assaulted by a teacher, according to reports. Christopher Freeman, 27, was fuming after his son told him a teacher at Bear Lakes Middle School, in Florida, USA, had “slammed” him.
According to reports, the father had a heated argument on phone with the school’s assistant principal in a heated phone call. It’s believed the irate father told him: “If this is my son, you’re all dead.”
According to reports, the man arrived with a loaded Cugir AK-47 mini pistol, local media claim. He was visibly upset and demanding to find out what happened his son.
The lethal machine gun was said to be sticking out of his waistband.
According to the official arrest report, he made threats to kill people when he arrived at the school.
He said: “I want to see the guy who slammed my son.”I’ve got something for him.”
Palm Beach County School District police rushed to the scene after a member of staff phoned them.
The school was placed on a “code red” lockdown a short time later, police confirmed. Freeman was arrested by responding officers. The dad claims he came to the school after becoming upset at hearing what his son told him.
But he insists he did not realise he was carrying a gun , as he always has it on him for protection.
He is now facing charges of possession of a firearm on school grounds, assault and disruption of a school function. He was remanded in custody yesterday as a judge set his bail bond at $75,000 (£56,000).
