Alvaro Morata insists Chelsea’s players are enjoying Maurizio Sarri’s style of play this season and that he is hoping the Blues can fight for even more trophies under the Italian.
The way the Blues are playing is in stark contrast to the style of management of Antonio Conte in the past two seasons, however Chelsea’s former boss did guide the club to the Premier League title and the FA Cup in the following year.
However, Sarri’s Chelsea have dominated possession in the majority of their matches and the new head coach’s way of playing means the Blues play with a high press and to win the ball up in the opposition’s half.
Morata has scored three times in his last five matches for the Blues and after struggling for form throughout his time at Stamford Bridge, he is hoping that under the new manager the 26-year-old has turned that corner.
“I’m in a good way now. I want to score more goals, to play more games, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that the team wins. The other things come with that,” Morata told the Evening Standard .
