President Akuffo-Addo opens first ever ‘Madame Tussauds’ in Africa

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, over the weekend, opened the Centre for Historical Research into World Evangelism and Global Missions at the prestigious Anagkazo Bible Ministry and Training Centre at Mampong-Akuapem. This Centre is dedicated vividly and reminds us of people who dedicated their lives to evangelism and missions in distant lands and in our beloved country.

The opening of the Centre was on the sidelines of the ‘Give Thyself Wholly’ Conference 2018 hosted yearly by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.

The Give Thyself Wholly Conference is dedicated to the teaching and training of pastors and church leaders. It is an international conference held annually by Bishop Dag in Ghana. This year, it was attended by pastors and church leaders from over 40 countries around the world.

The Centre for Historical Research into World Evangelism and Global Missions, the brainwork of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was built after the similitude of Madame Tussauds in London.


The Centre is a museum of great men and women of the gospel who gave their lives to spread Christianity in the world. You will learn about the missionaries of Ghana – the Basel missionaries, our own Apostle Peter Anim, James McKeown…. The list is endless..!


The President who was helped, by the Presiding Bishop of the UD-OLGC, to unveil the plaque could almost not find words to express his feelings at what he saw.
