Georginio Wijnaldum has revealed that Liverpool players didn’t immediately console goalkeeper Loris Karius after the Champions League final whistle to ensure they didn’t upset him even more. Karis made two blunders in the Reds’ 3-1 final defeat to Real Madrid which ultimately played a huge part in the La Liga side claiming the European trophy for a third season in a row. The 24-year-old keeper was pictured crying after the 90 minutes was up, and not every player headed in Karius’ direction to console him after a costly performance.
GOSSIP Gareth Bale has one MAJOR worry about joining Manchester United ‘I didn’t say anything because a lot of people already went to him and sometimes you don’t like it when too many people come,’ Wijnaldum said. ‘It’s not the ending we wanted for our Champions League campaign but sometimes these things happen in football. ‘It is hugely frustrating and we can’t change it. ‘It is always difficult to say what we can do, it depends on so many different things as to how we do next season.
